ASIJ Computer Science Club

What is ASIJ CSC?

The ASIJ Computer Science club is a club where students can pursue their interests and passion in programming and other areas of computer science. Throughout the school year, we host and participate in a variety of CS-related events such as hackathons and CTF (Capture the Flag), which are team competitions that revolve around the usage of a combination of programming, problem-solving, and collaboration. Programmers of all levels are welcome; no prior experience in programming is required. Students are also provided with a multitude of resources that can aid them in any personal project they wish to do, making the Computer Science Club the perfect place for students to explore all that CS has to offer!

Our Goals in 2022 and Beyond

Throughout the remainder of the academic year, our foremost goal is to drive our members to improve at computer science by providing readily available opportunities for learning and competition. Participation in contests emphasizing both cybersecurity and programming, as well as the availability of new resources, are continuous priorities. Incentivizing learning through competition is critical, but we also must ensure that we can accommodate those with little experience in the field. Lastly, we'd like to explore the possibility of working with other clubs on interdisciplinary projects to expand the horizons of CS and better our school at large.
